Terms and Conditions of Use

• Tralo or the Services: the website, the authoring application, and the reading pages on tralo.fr, the help center on help.tralo.fr, and the associated services.
• User or Author: any person holding an account, in particular a teacher, trainer, or team member.
• Reader: any person, in particular a student, who views or plays a shared story, in principle without an account.
• Organization: a school, association, body, or company that takes out a plan or on whose behalf a User uses Tralo.
• User content: texts, stories, images, settings, and other items created, imported, or shared by a User.

These terms of use (the “Terms of Use”) govern access to and use of the Services. They apply to the main website, the help center, and public reading links. Purchases and subscriptions are further governed by the terms and conditions of sale.

Creating an account requires express acceptance of the Terms of Use and having read the privacy policy. A Reader without an account must comply with the rules concerning security, prohibited uses, and intellectual property rights. If you act on behalf of an Organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it or, failing that, to use the Services within the scope of the authorizations granted to you.

Tralo allows users to create, organize, illustrate, test, share, play, export, and analyze interactive educational stories. Features and limitations depend on the plan selected and are presented on the Pricing page prior to subscription.

The Help Center provides documentation, a search function, and a feedback mechanism for articles. Certain features may be added, modified, or removed in accordance with the terms of Article 15. The Marketplace catalog, previously accessible at marketplace.tralo.fr, is no longer available; stories that a User had duplicated remain in their library. Assistant. An account requires a valid email address and a means of authentication managed by Tralo’s authentication service, operated by DigitConsult. Depending on the Service, you can log in using a password or a magic link, with two-factor authentication if you enable it. The information provided must be accurate and kept up to date. The account is personal; the account holder must not share their login credentials or allow a third party to use their account outside of the team features provided by Tralo.

Author accounts are primarily intended for adults. A minor between the ages of 15 and 17 may create and use an account only with the authorization of their legal guardian, who remains responsible for contractual obligations and, where applicable, payment. No Author account may be created by a child under the age of 15. The age threshold of 15 established by the French Data Protection Act pertains to consent for certain data processing activities and does not, by itself, confer the legal capacity to enter into a contract.

You must notify us without delay at contact@tralo.fr if you suspect that your account has been compromised, and change your password where that option is available. You are responsible for actions carried out from your account until the compromise has been reported to us, subject to the applicable mandatory rules.

By creating an account and confirming your email address, you are automatically subscribed to the Tralo newsletter (features, tips, and service updates), which is managed through our email service provider. This subscription is not required to use Tralo’s core features.

You may unsubscribe at any time: from the unsubscribe link included in every newsletter email, or from Settings → Notifications. Emails essential to the service (security, account confirmation, billing, support) continue to be sent regardless of that choice.

You retain the rights you hold to your User Content. You warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and authorizations regarding the text, images, audio, trademarks, personal data, and other elements that you import or share.

You grant DigitConsult a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license, limited to the duration necessary for the provision of the Services and essential technical operations: hosting, backup, reproduction, format adaptation, caching, display, sharing with recipients of your choice, and creation of technical copies. This license does not authorize us to sell your stories or use them for our own communications without your consent.

The license terminates when the content is deleted, subject to time-limited backups, evidence necessary for the defense of rights, and legal obligations. Deactivating a sharing link makes the content inaccessible via that link as soon as the operation is technically processed.

Content provided by Tralo (demo stories, templates, and stories previously duplicated from the Marketplace catalog) is covered by a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license valid for the account holder’s internal educational use. This license allows the account holder to play the content, keep a copy of it in their library, modify it, and share it with their learners via Tralo’s features.

It does not authorize resale, sublicensing, making the source file or original template available in a competing catalog, nor mass distribution outside the authorized educational context. The rights to the , its editorial elements, and its visuals remain with their respective owners. The User’s rights to their original additions remain unchanged.

The terms of access to the catalog are governed by the Terms of Service. Unlocking is tied to the account that performed it; it may allow for new free duplications as long as the account, the content, and the Service remain available. No transfer of unlocking rights between accounts is possible, unless expressly offered as a feature by Tralo.

A sharing link may be sent only to individuals selected by the Author or made more widely accessible under the Author’s responsibility. Anyone with the link can potentially view the story; an access code reduces this risk but does not constitute an absolute guarantee of confidentiality. The Author must therefore refrain from including secrets, confidential information, or unnecessary personal data in a shared story.

Readers play without an account. Sessions described as “anonymous” in the interface are in fact pseudonymous: they may include a random token, choices, scores, and timestamps, with no identity requested directly by default. If the Author enables the collection of a first name, last name, or class, the Author or their Organization determines the purpose and legal basis of that processing; DigitConsult then acts as a processor under the conditions of the data processing agreement.

The Author agrees to inform Readers and, when required, their legal representatives; to collect only what is strictly necessary; to prioritize the use of a first name or pseudonym; and never to use Tralo to collect sensitive data as defined in Article 9 of the GDPR, medical data, opinions, information about private life, or any data unrelated to educational activities.

The owner or administrator of a team manages seats, invitations, roles, and access to shared folders. Content placed in a shared folder is accessible to authorized team members and is therefore no longer restricted to its creator alone. Each member remains responsible for their own actions, and the administrator ensures that access rights that are no longer needed are promptly revoked.

When an account uses an address managed by an Organization and joins a group plan, the Organization may administer the access rights and professional spaces associated with that account. No personal content will be transferred to an Organization without prior notification to the User and without a contractual basis or legitimate instruction.

It is prohibited to use the Services to: publish content that is illegal, hateful, defamatory, fraudulent, pornographic, or manifestly inappropriate for the intended audience; infringe upon intellectual property rights, privacy, or the right of publicity; harass, discriminate against, or endanger a person; impersonate another person; collect data without a legal basis; or circumvent an access restriction.

The following are also prohibited: injecting malicious code; attempting to access an account, database, or API without authorization; automated or bulk extraction of the catalog; reverse engineering the code beyond the scope of legal exceptions; circumventing quotas, payments, or security controls; and any abnormal technical load that could degrade the Services for others.

Content or behavior may be reported to contact@tralo.fr, stating the URL or identifier concerned, a sufficiently precise explanation, the contact details of the notifier, and the information needed to assess the report. Manifestly unfounded or abusive reports are prohibited.

DigitConsult reviews notifications diligently and may, in a proportionate manner, limit visibility, disable a link, remove content, suspend a feature, or close an account. Unless prohibited by law, in cases of emergency, fraud, or risk to others, the affected User will be provided with the reasons for the decision and may contest it by replying to the notification or by writing to the same address. The measures taken take into account the severity, frequency, context, and relevant rights.

Ratings are quantitative evaluations on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. Only an authenticated account that has previously used the item in question may rate it; the rating therefore reflects an experience verified by the Service. Only one rating, which is final in the current interface, is permitted per account and per item. No payment, gift, or benefit is granted specifically in exchange for a rating.

A valid rating is automatically included, without prior editorial review, in the average rating and the number of ratings displayed; no individual ratings, comments, or the identity of the reviewer are published. A rating may be rejected or excluded if it comes from an ineligible account, falls outside the specified range, is a duplicate, results from fraud or manipulation, or violates these Terms of Use. It is retained as long as the content remains published and its retention is useful for evaluation, then deleted or dissociated from the account in accordance with applicable retention rules.

In the catalog, the “Top-Rated” sort order ranks items by descending average rating, then by number of duplicates if necessary; the “Most Popular” sort order uses the number of duplicates; the “Most Recent” sort order uses the date added; the “Mixed” sort order applies a stable order designed to mix cycles. Filters selected by the User are added to these criteria. Anyone can report concerns about the authenticity of a rating or suspected manipulation free of charge via “Report this story” or atcontact@tralo.fr , providing the URL and the reasons for the concern.

A review must reflect a real experience and be truthful. Tralo may take action against duplicates, manipulation, and abuse. Reports are forwarded to support along with the contact information provided so they can be addressed.

The Help Center may log a search that yielded no results or an explicit vote on the usefulness of an article, along with limited technical information, in order to improve the documentation and diagnose issues. Details regarding this processing and how to exercise your rights are outlined in the Privacy Policy.

DigitConsult takes reasonable measures to ensure the availability and security of the Services, without guaranteeing uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, updates, network incidents, or provider failures may result in temporary unavailability. Whenever possible, scheduled operations with a significant impact are announced in advance.

The Services rely in particular on Hostinger, OVHcloud, Stripe, and Resend. An external image embedded via URL is loaded directly from the server chosen by the Author; the Author must verify its availability, license, and privacy policy. Third-party services remain governed by their own terms and conditions for the operations they perform on their own behalf.

The Author is encouraged to export their stories regularly. The export features are a portability aid and do not replace a backup policy tailored to the needs of the Author’s Organization.

You may stop using the Services, cancel a subscription in accordance with the Terms of Service, and request the deletion of your account atcontact@tralo.fr . Deleting a story or resetting statistics may be permanent. Before closing your account, it is your responsibility to export any content you wish to keep.

DigitConsult may suspend an account or a feature in the event of a security risk, fraud, non-payment, violation of the law, or a material breach of these Terms. Except in cases of emergency or legal obligation, the User will be notified of the reason and given a reasonable period of time to remedy the breach. Permanent closure is a last resort or occurs in the event of a material or repeated breach.

Upon the expiration of a paid subscription, paid features will cease at the end of the term. The retention policy, any export deadline, the disposition of content, and unlocking rights are detailed in the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. Accounting records, evidence, and data necessary for litigation may be archived for the applicable statutory periods.

The User remains responsible for their User Content, its recipients, the configuration of their data collection efforts, and the educational use of the results. DigitConsult is not the author of the content shared by Users and does not guarantee either their accuracy or their suitability for a given audience.

No provision herein excludes liability that cannot be limited by law, particularly in cases of fraud, gross negligence, bodily injury, or with respect to a consumer’s mandatory rights. Between professionals, the additional limitations set forth in the Terms and Conditions may apply. The User must take reasonable measures to limit any damage, including retaining their own exports when their business requires it.

Data processing activities, their purposes, legal bases, recipients, retention periods, transfers, and the related rights are described in the privacy policy. Local storage and trackers are detailed in the cookie policy. Acceptance of the Terms of Use never amounts to consent to an optional tracker.

DigitConsult may update the Services and these Terms of Use for functional, technical, economic, security, or compliance reasons. A substantial change applicable to an existing account will be communicated via a durable medium or within the application with reasonable notice, generally thirty days, except in cases of emergency, legal obligation, or a change that is exclusively beneficial.

When a change substantially affects a contractual right, the User may cease using the Service or terminate the agreement under the conditions specified in the notification. A new express acceptance will be obtained when required by law or by the nature of the change. The version number and effective date are displayed at the top of the document.

Computer records maintained under reasonable security conditions (account creation, versions of accepted documents as recorded, orders, payments, account activations, cancellations, emails, and reports) may be produced as evidence. They do not constitute irrefutable evidence, and each party retains the right to challenge their accuracy by any means permitted by law.

The Terms of Use are governed by French law. Before taking any legal action, the parties are encouraged to seek an amicable resolution throughcontact@tralo.fr . The consumer retains the benefit of the mandatory rules of his or her country of residence and the rules of territorial jurisdiction that are favorable to him or her. Between merchants, any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the competent courts in accordance with common law, unless there is a valid, clear, and mutually agreed-upon agreement between the parties.

If any provision is declared null and void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Failure to exercise a right immediately shall not constitute a waiver. The French version shall prevail; this version shall take effect on August 1, 2026.
