Who manages it, and from where.

Today, team administration is handled directly within Tralo, through the settings: rename the team, invite an author, change a role, remove a member, track occupied seats, and retrieve invoices.

For a supported Organization deployment, the Tralo Admin console is separate from the authoring workshop. It is reserved for the initial manager and the administrators they authorize; an individual subscription never grants that access automatically.

The organization must therefore name a person by first name, last name, and a work email address, preferably a named one. That address receives the initial owner invitation. It may be the same as the billing email, but the two contacts keep different purposes.

Console Access Rules

  • Access is restricted to administrator accounts within an organization. A Free, Essential, or Pro account does not automatically have access.
  • A work email address verified by the initial administrator is required; it will receive a and must not be confused with the billing email address.
  • Email verification and two-factor authentication are required before any Admin session.
  • The Tralo app is used to create and read stories; the console is used to manage members, access, licenses, and shared content. The two uses remain distinct.
  • The administrator can manage the organization’s name, its structure, administrators and authors, and access rights, licenses, shared content, statistics, and billing.

The console is provided as part of Organization deployments agreed with Tralo; it is not included in individual plans or in Duo & Small team. See the full Tralo Admin documentation to prepare the initial manager, invite other administrators, and discover everything the console can do.

Tralo must be able to integrate with your environment.

Good news for your IT teams: on the learner side, there’s nothing to install or provision. On the content creators, institutional standards aren’t in place yet, and we’re being upfront about that.

These standards are not currently available. They will evolve based on the needs of the initial deployments: if any of them is a deal-breaker for you, let us know, and it will be included in the pilot’s scope.

Data localization

The database, authentication, and files are hosted on a dedicated server located in France. The complete list of data processors and their countries is published in the privacy policy.

Transport and Access

HTTPS/TLS encryption of data transfers; passwords are never stored in plain text; two-factor authentication via the application with backup codes.

Sauvegardes

Regular database backups. The procedures and retention periods are described in the privacy policy.

Export and Deletion

Each account can export all its work as a .zip file, including images, and delete its content by their account from the settings.

Data Processing Agreement

A DPA is published online, including a description of the processing activities, authorized subprocessors, and security measures.

Learner Data Readings are conducted without any identified personal information: no last name, no first name, and no student

account. The passages and answers are used to train artificial intelligence models.

Accessibility

WCAG 2.2 AA target. Work is in progress, and no external audit has been conducted to date; therefore, we do not claim compliance. If your institution is required to produce an accessibility statement, please contact us, and we will respond point by point.

Start with a pilot, then make a decision based on the results.

A pilot project is a deliberately small, time-limited trial deployment before any full commitment: a group of volunteer authors, one or two specific use cases, and a review at the end. It’s the most honest way to determine if Tralo is a good fit for your organization, and it prevents you from purchasing for an entire institution without knowing whether your teams will actually use it.

Frequently Asked Questions

In practical terms, what is a pilot project?+

It’s a trial rollout, deliberately small and time-limited, before any full commitment. We select a group of volunteer creators and one or two specific use cases, set up the platform, and provide guidance on getting started, then review together what was actually created and used. At the end, you decide whether to expand, adjust, or discontinue the project based on facts rather than promises. The scope, duration, and pricing are established at the outset, based on a quote.

How does pricing work for an organization?+

For two to five people, the site offers the Duo & Small Team plan: €6 per person per month, with a shared account and a single invoice, no need to contact us. For more than five authors, there is no public pricing schedule: the amount is determined through a quote agreed upon with you, based on the number of authors, the level of support required, and the scope of the project.

Do learners need to create an account?+

No. A learner simply opens the share link and starts the story. No registration, no password. The link can be protected by an access code and deactivated whenever you wish. Only authors have a Tralo account.

Can content be shared among multiple teams?+

In the Duo plan, all members work on a shared folder. For a supported Organizational deployment, Tralo Admin allows you to structure multiple units and open a shared library at the scale specified in the contract. The exact scope is defined during the pilot scoping phase.

Can we manage multiple campuses or departments?+

Yes, in a supported Tralo Organizations deployment: the console allows you to create a hierarchy of campuses, schools, departments, or teams, and then restrict roles to a specific branch. This structure is not included in the self-service Duo plan.

Does Tralo offer SSO login?+

No, not at this time. Login is via email and password. Two-factor authentication remains optional in the individual creation workshop, but it is required for all access to Tralo Admin. Single sign-on via OpenID Connect or SAML is planned based on the needs of early deployments.

What email address should be provided for the Tralo Admin administrator?+

A work email address that the designated person can access immediately, preferably one in their own name. They will receive the initial owner invitation, must verify the address, and then enable two-factor authentication. This address can be the same as the billing email, but the two uses remain separate.

Can Tralo be integrated with an LMS?+

There is currently no LTI integration. In practice, a Tralo story is shared via a link: this link can be embedded in a Moodle course, a digital learning platform, or an intranet just like any other resource. An LTI 1.3 integration is planned based on the needs of the initial deployments.

Where is the data hosted?+

The database, authentication system, and files are hosted on a dedicated server located in France. The privacy policy and the Data Processing Agreement (DPA) detail the list of data processors, their countries, and the relevant data processing activities.

Can content be exported?+

Yes. Each story can be exported as a .json file, and an account can download all of its work as a .zip file, including images, from the settings. No content is held hostage.

Can we start with a pilot project?+

That’s what we recommend. A pilot project starts with a small group of volunteer authors, focusing on one or two specific use cases, with a review at the end. The scope, duration, and support are defined with you, based on a quote.
